WHAT IS IT?

HA is well known as dermal filler that plumps the skin and fills wrinkles and is derived entirely from a non animal source; however it is a substance that already occurs in the skin where it binds water to keep the skin hydrated.

WHY HAVE IT?
As skin ages our natural HA loses its efficiency at binding water, the dermis thins and the epidermis gets thicker and crust-like. As a result, creases and wrinkles in the skin start to develop. (The complexion, in effect, shrinks.)
Injecting Restylane Vital replenishes the skin, improving its elasticity and tone creating a naturally fresh and youthful appearance by providing deep dermal hydration, moisturising from within to improve skin tone and health. It diminishes the fine crêpey lines caused by sun damage and the natural aging process, smoothing the skin to give a plumpand hydrated look firming and toning to create a fresh, natural vitality.
TREATMENT
Because HA is a naturally occurring substance in our bodies, a skin test is not required, and treatment takes only about 15-20 minutes. Local anaesthetic cream is applied prior to the treatment, and a multiple microinjection technique is used. An initial, intense treatment of Restylane Vital usually comprises 3 treatment sessions 2-4 weeks apart, after this we recommend a one off treatment every 7-12 months. However, there are no restrictions on how often you can be treated.
