Macrolane

For breast shaping, pure and simple!
Macrolane has been brought to us from Q Med, the makers of Restylane. Using their patented NASHA technology it is now possible to forego “going under the knife.” This soft-tissue augmentation filler will be great for those who are not keen to have breast implants but still want to give their bust a boost. The augmentation lasts from one to two years and will eventually be absorbed and metabolised by the body. The actual procedure is simple and takes less than an hour, pain is kept to a minimum and once the treatment is completed you can pretty much return to your normal daily routine.

Macrolane prices for breast shaping start from £2600

WHAT IS MACROLANE?

Macrolane - The first body shaping treatment using hyaluronic acid.
It is based on Q-Med's unique patented NASHA™ technology (Stabilized Non-Animal Hyaluronic Acid) which has been used in over 9 million treatments in over 70 countries worldwide.  Use of NASHA has been clinically proven and well documented in facial aesthetics for over 10 years.

Macrolane VRF (Volume Restoration Factor) is available in two different formulations.
The product range includes - Macrolane VRF 20 and Macrolane VRF 30.
Each is designed to be tailored to your individual treatment needs, with VRF 30 providing
increased volume than VRF 20.  Your practitioner will discuss your treatment needs
with you on consultation.

IS IT RIGHT FOR ME?
Macrolane is licensed for breast shaping. Many practitioners see advantages
of using Macrolane for breast shaping as opposed to more invasive techniques.
Macrolane for breast shaping is suitable for women whom have asymmetry,
loss of volume as a result of breast feeding or weight loss, or under-developed breasts.
Macrolane is particularly suited for women wishing to increase by a cup size
and seeking increased shape as opposed to breast augmentation. Macrolane enables practitioners to sculpt the breast to provide a very natural breast enhancement.

WILL MACROLANE INTERFERE WITH THE READING OF MAMMOGRAMS TO DETECT BREAST CANCER OR OTHER BREAST DEFECTS?
Patient safety is a priority for Q-Med and the company has carried out clinical trials into
the use of Macrolane for women undergoing mammography following breast shaping.
Results of these clinical investigations show that Macrolane does not interfere with
mammograms or obstruct the detection of breast defects.

HOW IS THE TREATMENT PEFORMED?
General anesthesia is not required and the procedure can be carried out in a
clean environment similar to minor surgery.

HOW LONG DOES MACROLANE LAST?

Macrolane is intended to last for 1-2 years. Each individual treatment programme
will include a yearly top-up as required to maintain optimal treatment results.

WHAT SHOULD I DO AFTER MY TREATMENT?
With Macrolane you should be able to see the results instantly and you can return
home and pretty much get back to your normal routine, however a comfortable
sports bra should be worn for a week after the treatment.

You may feel a little tenderness for a day once the anesthetic wears off and your
practitioner will also ask you to avoid activities such as massages, saunas
and tanning beds for the first few weeks.
